Formation of the Board of Directors of the Regional Office of the Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Syria
The Regional Office of the Arab Exporters and Importers Union in the Syrian Arab Republic announced the formation of its Board of Directors, marking an important step toward strengthening institutional economic work and supporting Arab trade exchange.
The formation of the Board reflects the Union’s commitment to enhancing cooperation among exporters, importers, business leaders, and economic institutions, while opening new channels for commercial partnerships between Syria and Arab and regional markets.
The Board of Directors of the Syria Regional Office is composed as follows:
- Mr. Talal Kalaaji — President of the Regional Office
- Mr. Mohamed Riyad Al-Sirafi — Vice President
- Mr. Imad Marwan Al-Qabbani — Secretary
- Mr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ali Jlailati — Treasurer
- Mr. Monhal Alfaris — Representative of the Ministry of Economy and Industry
- Mr. Muhyeddin Arab Al-Halabi — Board Member
- Mr. Farhan Mohamed Hamad — Board Member
- Mr. Jamil Ahmad Akrin — Board Member
- Mr. Qasem Abdel-Latif Kaffa — Board Member
- Mr. Wael Shawqi Dallu — Board Member
The Union affirmed that the Regional Office in Syria will work to support exporters and importers, encourage business networking, promote Syrian products, and contribute to creating effective opportunities for trade cooperation at the Arab and regional levels.
This step comes within the Union’s broader vision to build an active economic platform that supports investment, trade exchange, and communication between companies and relevant economic bodies.
The Regional Office also emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among the public and private sectors to strengthen Syria’s commercial presence and contribute to wider Arab economic integration.
